A statment from Stephanie Meyertells that Chris Weitz has made a decision
about the role of Jacob Black… Bella’s best werewolf buddy. Taylor Lautner will keep his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight movie series. His next role will of course be New Moon.
Weitz said this:
I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.
Meyer played a role in keeping Lautner on, no doubt due to a huge fan outcry that occurred when word leaked he may be replaced.
I was so glad to hear that Taylor Lauthner was keep his role as Jacob Black. Taylor is absolutely adorable and Jacob is a “hot” character. I can’t wait to see how he develops in the movie as Jacob is pretty yummy in the book!
