In the movie (and the book) Edward and the Cullen family have a pretty spectacular home. I know I ooohed and aaahed many times during the scenes were we got to see it. Even the garage was fantastic! But my favorite room was Edwards of course. I loved the picture windows, access to the outdoors, and all the books and music. He is a guy after my own heart. Here are some shots of Edward’s place. True Zoe, it is a bit weird but that type of architecture is Ultra-Modern… Funny, but when I read the 4 books of the Twilight Saga (can’t wait for the 5th) I did not picture this type of home for the Cullens… I pictured a more traditional house, large with many rooms with one side of the house, all floors, done in large picture windows from floors to the ceilings. I did not picture their kitchen so modern with so much stainless steel, especially for a family that never used a kitchen, unless they stored fresh blood in a large freezer (which I might add before we go confusing films, never happened in Twilight movie or books…on that think Moonlight, the canceled CBS TV show we all loved)… I pictured Edward’s room more sedate, dark paneling lined with shelves and shelves of CDs, Albums & books; afterall, even though he was a vampire of age 17, he was actually 100 years old, so I pictured him cherishing the memories of his time long ago, that is in some respects…
BTW, the Cullen House actually exists, it is not false front stage prop… It is somewhere in OR, I believe, and is owned by a young family with children… Wonderful memories those kids can grow up sharing; “I let a vampire named Edward Cullen use my bedroom for awhile. Shucks, would you dare tell a vampire they couldn’t? And he was cute, too, so I didn’t mind”…
Oh well, enough of my writer’s mind getting carried away…

It is actually th house of a big time nike exec. he let them use the house i agree the house is only supposed to have a wall of windows on the back of it. I thought that edwards room was way to light and small it is tiny
um yeah, the house was actually owned by the Nike Excecutives who built it 9 months before filming started. And sadly, theyre not using it in New Moon :’(

and yes, i seem to recall the real twilight cullen house as being a mansion that Esme restored, i pictured it to be older but whatever floats ya boat

Yes, when reading Twilight I pictured a darker interior to a stately older mansion… And, yes, being the eldest “son”, I pictured Edward’s room being the size of a small living room…
Definitely looks like it must be on the ouskirts of Portland, OR, if that is its locale, unless, like in some parts outside of Seattle homes are surrounded by pine forests, like in Issaquah…
Is the Cullen home even in New Moon that much? I wonder why the Nike Exec is not offering the home? With the way the economy is, it would be advantages and good business to allow the home to be used for a fair rental price for e the Twilight movies when needed… So if this home is not being used in New Moon, I wonder what they are going to do when the home is called for in other sequel novels’s movies? Perhaps they will just use the outside shots they have already to splice into the next movies…
New Moon was shot in Vancouver so the house will be different. Our friends know the owner of the house and they said it was very similar to the first house in oregon.

I love this housee! I’m a HA-UGE fan of twilight and this house perfectly suits the Cullen’s personalities!!! nice choice for the movie I think. TEAM EDWARD!!!!!!!!

Can anyone identify the artist of the painting that hangs in the stairwell of Edward’s home? It hangs above the cross near the landing . . .

The house they are now using is in West Vancouver in the British properties. It is a mid century modern masterpiece designed by Arthur Erickson and is approximately 60 years old. It was restored about 10 years ago and the home is so beautiful that it feels almost holy. Its actually on the market for a cool 3.2 million.
