Update: Dakota Fanning is a confirmed cast member of New Moon!
The young, talented, and beautiful actress Dakota Fanning has confirmed that she has been involved in discussions about playing Jane in the upcoming film New Moon. Jane is a childlike yet vicious vampire member of the Volturi with some special powers that others find quite “painful”.
“It’s definitely possible. I really hope it works out,” Fanning told Hitfix.com while promoting her latest flick Push. “It would be a really fantastic experience I’m sure.”
Director Chris Weitz is so confident that Fanning is right for the part, he offered it to without even an audition. Filming of the much-anticipated flick begins in March in the U.S. and Italy.
i dont have anything against dakota, in fact i like her byt i just dont think she is good for jane’s character. in my point of view jane is a malicious dark-haired girl and dakota is neither of those. just sharing my opinion
oh ya and i meant but not byt. ooops
I think the character of Jane fits with Jodelle Ferland…
